It seems as though Nintendo will be releasing a tv guide service. This was hinted in the financial results briefing where there was a picture of a Japanese looking tv guide. Sources say that Wii users will be able to program their viewing schedule based on what they want. This seems really cool and will be of service to all of the tv addicts in America.

 The Channel will let users search by genre and actor. It will also let different people in the family subscribe to their own favorite shows. President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata,  stats he wants people to use the Wii for their regular tv viewing habits. The Japanese will get the service in Spring 2008. There is no word when Americans will get the service despite there being potential since they use Gemstar’s TVGUIDE data.
